Date The date shows when the rejoinder was written. It helps in keeping a record and provides context for the response. The date should be placed directly below the sender’s address after skipping one line. Use a standard date format such as “20th August 2024” or “August 20, 2024.” Example 12 Oak Street, Accra, Ghana. 20th August, 2024 Reference The reference refers to the specific article, statement, or issue being addressed in the rejoinder. This makes it clear what your response is about. The reference should be clearly labelled and placed after the date, following one skipped line. It typically begins with “Re:” or “Reference:”. Example: Response to the article titled “The State of Education in Ghana,” published in The Daily Times on 15th August 2024. Recipient’s Address The recipient's address specifies who the rejoinder is being sent to. This could be the editor of a newspaper, the author of the original article, or another relevant party. The recipient's address is placed below the reference after skipping one line.
