Salutation
The salutation is a polite greeting that addresses the recipient. Use a formal salutation such
as “Dear Sir/Madam” or “Dear Editor.” It is placed after the recipient’s address, following
one skipped line.
Body of the Rejoinder
The body of the rejoinder is where you present your arguments, clarifications, or corrections.
This is the most important part of the rejoinder.
The body should be clear, concise, and organised into paragraphs. Each paragraph should
focus on a specific point or issue.
Content: The body typically includes:
1. Introduction: A brief introduction stating the purpose of the rejoinder.
2. Main Points: Address the specific issues or inaccuracies in the original article.
Provide evidence or reasoning to support your points.
3. Conclusion: Summarise your main points and state what you hope to achieve with
the rejoinder (e.g., correction, clarification, or further discussion).
