(Concluding Sentence) Characteristics of Narrative Paragraphs 1. Chronological Order: Chronological order means arranging events in the sequence they occurred in time. It helps readers follow the story easily by presenting events in a logical and sequential manner. Narratives often start with a clear beginning, followed by a middle that develops the story, and concludes with an end. For example, a narrative about a day at the beach might start with waking up in the morning, describe activities at the beach during the day, and end with returning home in the evening. Example: "First, they packed their bags in the morning. Then, they drove to the beach. In the afternoon, they enjoyed swimming and building sandcastles. Finally, they returned home tired but happy in the evening."
