My school

Greenfield Academy is located in the heart of Accra, Ghana, nestled in a peaceful and easily

accessible neighborhood. The school, surrounded by lush greenery, offers a calm and

conducive environment for learning. It was founded by Dr. Kwame Mensah, an educationist

and philanthropist who envisioned creating an institution that would provide high-quality

education while fostering creativity and critical thinking in students. Greenfield Academy

officially opened its doors on September 15, 2005, and has since grown into one of the

leading educational institutions in the region. The school is organised into several

departments, each specialising in a specific area of education.

The Primary School Department caters to students from kindergarten to grade 6, focussing

on building a strong foundation in core subjects like mathematics, English, science, and

social studies, while also introducing students to the arts, music, and physical education. The

Junior High School Department serves students in grades 7 to 9, offering a more advanced

curriculum that prepares them for secondary education, with subjects including

mathematics, integrated science, English language, social studies, French, and ICT. For

students in grades 10 to 12, the Senior High School Department provides a range of subjects

in various streams such as General Science, General Arts, Business, and Visual Arts, with a

strong emphasis on preparing students for national exams and university entrance.

Additionally, the Administrative Department oversees the day-to-day operations of the

school, while the Guidance and Counselling Department offers academic and personal

counselling to help students make informed decisions about their futures.
