Incident Report: Armed Robbery at Das Mall

Time of Incident: Approximately 8:15 PM

Location: Das Mall, 123 Main Street, Adum

The Reporter: Karikari Abinkyi

On the evening of August 12, 2024, at approximately 8:15 PM, I witnessed an armed robbery

at Das Mall, located at 123 Main Street, Adum. As I was approaching the mall from the east

side of Main Street, I noticed two individuals acting suspiciously near the entrance. Both

were wearing dark clothing and had their faces concealed with masks. Their hurried manner

and the fact that they were armed with handguns immediately raised my concern. I observed

the entire incident from a safe distance, which allowed me to remain unnoticed by the

assailants.

The suspects forcefully entered the mall through the main entrance, which was unlocked at

the time. Inside, a few customers were shopping, and the cashier was stationed at the

counter. Upon entering, the suspects swiftly moved towards the cashier, brandishing their

weapons. They threatened her and demanded that she hand over the money from the

register. The cashier, visibly terrified, complied without hesitation, placing the cash into a

bag that one of the suspects had brought with him. The entire interaction was quick, lasting

no more than three to four minutes, giving no opportunity for the cashier or customers to

call for help or react in any way.

After obtaining the money, the suspects exited the mall through the same entrance and fled

on foot, heading westward on Main Street. I did not observe any getaway vehicles, which

suggests that they either continued on foot or had a vehicle parked at a distance. The two
