Soccer matches were another highlight of the day, with students divided into teams

representing their respective grades. The final match, a showdown between the Grade 8 and

Grade 9 teams, was closely contested. After a thrilling game, Grade 9 emerged victorious

with a 3-2 score, thanks to an outstanding performance by their captain, Emmanuel Osei,

who scored two goals.

Relay races, a favourite among the students, were held in the afternoon. The 4x100m relay

saw fierce competition, with Grade 7 narrowly defeating Grade 6 by just a fraction of a

second. The teamwork and coordination displayed by all participating teams were

commendable, reflecting the practice and dedication they had put into preparing for the

event.

Several students delivered standout performances throughout the day. Sarah Mensah, who

won the 100m sprint, was also the top performer in the 200m race, finishing in 27.8 seconds.

Her exceptional speed and determination made her a crowd favorite. Kwame Asante's

record-breaking long jump was another highlight, demonstrating his athletic prowess and

earning him the title of 'Athlete of the Day.'

In the soccer matches, Emmanuel Osei's leadership and skill were evident as he led his team

to victory. His ability to strategise and motivate his teammates was instrumental in their

success. The Grade 7 relay team, consisting of Ama Serwaa, Michael Oppong, Rita Boateng,

and Daniel Tetteh, also deserves special mention for their seamless baton exchanges and

synchronised running, which secured them first place in the 4x100m relay.
