Hello Fred,

I hope this letter finds you in good health and spirits! I’ve been thinking a lot lately, especially

after our last conversation where you mentioned your thoughts about relocating abroad.

While I understand the appeal, I wanted to share with you four reasons why I’ve decided not

to move abroad myself.

First and foremost, Fred, I’m deeply attached to our family and the rich cultural heritage we

have here. The thought of being far away from them makes me feel like I’d be losing a part

of myself. Our traditions, the festivals, and even the simple everyday interactions with our

loved ones are irreplaceable. I feel a strong sense of belonging here that I fear I might not

find elsewhere.

Secondly, the cost of living abroad can be overwhelming. You know how we sometimes hear

about the high expenses in other countries—rent, food, transportation. I’m worried that

moving abroad might lead to more financial stress rather than relief. I’d rather stay here,

where I have a clearer understanding of the cost of living and can manage my finances better.

Another reason is the career opportunities available right here at home. It might surprise

you, but there are plenty of opportunities here if you know where to look. I believe that with

determination and the right connections, I can build a successful career here without the

uncertainties of adapting to a new job market abroad.
