workforce. This leads to a more educated and skilled population, which in turn strengthens

the economy and promotes social stability. Free textbooks alone cannot achieve this—they

are merely a supplement to the broader goal of universal education.

Moreover, Mr. Chairman, free education helps in shaping well-rounded individuals who

contribute positively to society. It offers not just academic knowledge but also social skills,

ethical values, and civic responsibility. Schools provide a structured environment where

students learn to interact with their peers, respect authority, and develop a sense of

community. This aspect of education is crucial for the development of responsible citizens

who can lead the country in the future. Textbooks alone cannot impart these life lessons.

Fellow Students, Ladies and Gentlemen, it is clear that free education is far superior to the
mere supply of free textbooks. Education is the foundation upon which our future is built,
and it must be accessible to all, not just those who can afford it. Free education ensures that
every child has the chance to learn, grow, and succeed, while free textbooks alone cannot
provide the full spectrum of benefits that come with a complete education. Therefore, I
strongly urge you to reject the motion that a free supply of textbooks is better than free
education.
