your message is received.

reactions. If they respond well to a particular joke or comment, you might decide to explore

that topic a bit further.

   6. Length of the Speech

Brevity: Informal speeches are usually shorter than formal ones. The key is to keep it

concise and to the point. Avoid dragging on for too long, as the relaxed setting often demands

a quicker pace.

Pacing: Ensure that your speech flows naturally. While you don’t need to adhere to strict

timing, be mindful of not lingering too long on any single point.

   7. Use of visual aids or props

Optional: While not necessary, you can use visual aids or props to enhance your speech.

For example, if you’re telling a story, you might show a relevant photo or item. However,

these should be used sparingly and only if they add value to your speech.

   8. Practice and Delivery

Practice: Even though the speech is informal, practicing beforehand can help you feel more

comfortable and ensure that your thoughts are organised.

Spontaneity: Allow room for spontaneity during your delivery. Informal speeches benefit

from a natural, off-the-cuff style, so it’s okay to stray from your script if something comes to

mind that suits the moment.

Confidence: Speak with confidence and enthusiasm. Your comfort and ease will encourage

the audience to relax and enjoy the speech.
