Secondly, sir, improving schools’ infrastructure is crucial to improving academic

performance in schools in the country. Many schools operate with inadequate classrooms,

leading to overcrowded environments that are not conducive to learning. Our school, for

instance, has only four classrooms for 500 students, forcing many to study under trees,

which disrupts classes during bad weather. Building more classrooms and ensuring they are

well-ventilated and furnished can create a better learning environment, thus improving

student concentration and performance.

Lastly, sir, enhancing student support services can make a significant difference in

improving academic performance in schools. Providing guidance and counselling services

helps address the emotional and psychological needs of students, which are often overlooked

but critical for academic success. Implementing after-school programs for additional

tutoring, offering health services, and ensuring students have access to nutritious meals can

also support their overall well-being and academic performance. For example, establishing

a school feeding program can help improve attendance and concentration, as well-nourished

students are better learners.

In summary, the academic performance in our schools can be improved by providing

adequate teaching resources and training, enhancing infrastructure, and bolstering student

support services. These steps, if taken, will lead to a more effective and holistic educational

environment, benefiting both students and teachers.
