         WAYS TO IMPROVE ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE IN SCHOOLS

I wish to draw your attention to ways of improving the academic performance of schools in

the country. There are several ways of improving the academic performance of schools in the

country. Some of the ways of improving the academic performance of schools in Ghana are

the provision of adequate teaching resources and training, the improvement of school

infrastructure, and enhancing student support services. The details of ways to improve the

academic performance of schools in the country are below.

Firstly, sir, the provision of adequate teaching resources and training would improve the

academic performance of schools in the country. Many schools lack sufficient textbooks,

teaching aids, and modern technology like computers and projectors. This inadequacy

hampers effective teaching and learning. Therefore, schools must be provided with resources

such as computers, projectors, and smart boards to make teaching and learning efficient.

Additionally, teachers should receive regular professional development training to stay

updated with the latest educational methodologies and tools. For example, in our school, the

availability of only a few outdated textbooks limits students' ability to research and

understand topics comprehensively. Therefore, ensuring every school is well-equipped with

modern educational resources and providing continuous teacher training can greatly

enhance academic outcomes.
