              CAUSES OF EXAMINATION MALPRACTICES IN GHANA

I am writing to bring to your attention the causes of examination malpractice in Ghana.

There are several causes of examination malpractices in the country. Some of the causes of

examination malpractice in the country are inadequate preparation, societal pressure, lack

of strict enforcement, corruption, inadequate supervision, and insufficient resources. The

details of the causes of examination malpractices in the country are below.

Sir, firstly, inadequate preparation among students is a significant cause of examination

malpractices. Many students do not devote enough time to studying and understanding the

material, often due to poor study habits or a lack of access to necessary learning resources.

As a result, they resort to cheating as a means to pass their exams. This issue is worsened by

the inadequate support systems in place, such as tutoring and after-school programs, which

could help students better prepare for their exams. In effect, students will cheat in

examinations, leading them to inculcate the practice of dishonesty and corruption. Sir, we

can solve this by outlines plans for students to study in advance towards their exams.
