Exercise 2

Read the following paragraph and identify each part (topic sentence, major supporting

sentence, minor supporting sentences, concluding sentence).

Paragraph:

"Yesterday, I visited my grandparents’ farm in the countryside. The day started with a

beautiful sunrise that painted the sky in shades of orange and pink. We spent the morning

harvesting vegetables, pulling out fresh carrots, and gathering ripe tomatoes. The scent of

the earth mixed with the sweet fragrance of the crops filled the air, making the experience

even more enjoyable. After a hearty lunch under the shade of a big oak tree, we fed the

chickens and collected eggs from the coop. By the end of the day, I felt a deep sense of

satisfaction, knowing I had helped my grandparents with their daily chores."

Instructions:
