In the face of this crisis, something remarkable happened. Despite their differences, the

people of Kuniva began to come together. It started with a few neighbours shovelling snow

to clear a path to each other’s homes. Soon, others joined in, helping to dig out cars, deliver

food and medicine, and check on the elderly and vulnerable.

The town’s only grocery store, which had been struggling due to the division, opened its

doors and offered free supplies to those in need. The church, where people had argued just

weeks before, became a shelter for those who had lost power. Local farmers brought in their

produce, and volunteers prepared meals for those who couldn’t cook.

As the days passed, the town’s spirit of unity was rekindled. People who hadn’t spoken to

each other in months were now working side by side, helping to restore power, clear roads,

and rebuild what the storm had damaged. The arguments about the factory and the road

seemed trivial in the face of the shared struggle.

In the evenings, when the work was done, the townspeople gathered in the church hall,

warming themselves by the fire and sharing stories. They realised that despite their

differences, they all wanted the same thing—a safe, thriving community where everyone

could live in peace.

When the land dried up and life began to return to normal, the people of Harmonyville made

a decision. They would address their disagreements through dialogue, not division. The town

council held a series of meetings where everyone was invited to speak. Instead of arguing,

they listened to each other’s concerns and worked together to find solutions that balanced

progress with preserving the town’s character.

Over time, Kuniva became even stronger than before. The new road was built, but in a way

that minimised disruption to the town. The factory implemented stricter environmental

controls, ensuring that it brought economic benefits without harming the community. And
