STORY WRITING

Story writing is an aspect of both narrative and descriptive writing. However, story writing

takes some particular trend. There are three types of story writing that occur in English

exams.

   1. A story for a particular heading or topic

   2. A story to end in a particular way

   3. A story to start in a particular way

A story for a particular heading/topic

If a particular topic has been given for you to write a story on, then you must write the story

for the content to show the meaning of the topic. If the topic is an idiom or adage, explain it

before you start the story.

Features of story writing

To write a story, some formats or features must be followed. Here are the common features

or formats of story writing.

   2. Body

   3. Plotting

   4. Climax

   5. Resolution and ending
