Lost in the forest

As I ventured into the forest, the towering trees and dense foliage seemed enchanting at first.

The path was well-trodden, and I felt confident that I could navigate through the area.

However, as I wandered deeper, the forest began to change. The trees grew thicker, and the

trail became less distinct. I realised that I had strayed off the main path and was now

surrounded by unfamiliar terrain.

The sun started to set, casting long shadows and dimming the light. My initial sense of

adventure turned into worry as I struggled to find my way back. The forest, once full of

intriguing sounds and sights, now felt intimidating and disorienting. I tried retracing my

steps, but the more I walked, the more confused I became. Panic began to set in as I realised

I was truly lost.

With the sky growing darker and the temperature dropping, I knew I needed to stay calm

and find a way to signal for help. I found a small clearing and decided to make a signal fire,

hoping that the smoke would attract attention. Gathering dry leaves and branches, I

managed to get a small blaze going. While keeping the fire under control, I shouted for help,

hoping someone might hear me.

Back at home, my family had grown increasingly concerned when I didn't return at the

expected time. They contacted the local authorities, and a search party was organized.

Equipped with flashlights and tracking equipment, the search team scoured the forest. They

followed the trail of the smoke from my fire, which had become a crucial indicator of my

location.
