the Addaekese of the Ashanti. The Addaekese is celebrated by the Ashanti’s of Ghana. It is

celebrated on the 42nd day of the 9th Awukudae festival of the Akan calendar. During this

festive celebration, a lot of activities are arranged to mark the occasion. Some of the activities

are general cleaning, purification of stools, and more.
