Dear Mom and Dad,

I hope you are both doing well. I’ve been thinking a lot lately about my future, and I wanted

to share something important with you. After much thought and consideration, I’ve decided

that I would like to learn a trade instead of furthering my education at this point.

One of the main reasons is that I feel a strong desire to start working with my hands and

gaining practical skills. I’ve always been interested in things like carpentry, plumbing, or

even electrical work, and I believe that learning a trade will allow me to pursue something

I’m passionate about while also providing me with the opportunity to start earning a living

sooner.

Another reason is that I believe a trade will give me a sense of independence and stability.

With a solid trade under my belt, I can start my own business or find work relatively easily,

which will allow me to support myself and contribute to the family. The idea of having a skill

that is always in demand gives me a lot of confidence in this path.

I’ve also noticed that there is a growing demand for skilled tradespeople, and I feel that by

learning a trade, I can secure a stable and fulfilling career. While further schooling offers its

own advantages, I think that for me, the hands-on experience and immediate application of

skills in a trade would be more beneficial.
