Dialogue

A dialogue is a conversation between two or more people. The conversation is recorded as it

took place between the parties. It can be between two or more people. However, we would

only use conversation between the two people (simple dialogues).

Now, let us look at the features of simple dialogue.

Features of a dialogue

Simple dialogue can be treated as an essay in and of itself. Therefore, the features will be

similar to an essay.

   1. Introduction

   2. The body (content)

   3. Conclusion

We are looking at the introduction.

Introduction of dialogue

The steps to follow with the introduction of a dialogue are:

Prepare the background for the dialogue. What we mean is that you should give a brief story

about the dialogue before you start.

An example of the introduction of a dialogue

Last week, I went to uncle Adumatta’s house for my school fees, and he refused to give me

the fees. This was the conversation that took place between us.
